All the kids are doing it… You’ve seen them more and more often at music festivals over the last couple years. Flash Tattoos adorn the skin of millennials everywhere. Now thanks to new developments from MIT and Microsoft, these trendy tats can double as digital inputs for a variety of applications all through your smart phone.


By integrating circuitry with the gold leaf, the temporary tattoos can sense touch input, provide wireless communication of biometric data, and with integrated LED lights, can even provide an output display.


We’re still a ways away from turning into cyborgs, but the lines are starting to get blurry. Wearables, combined with AI and augmented reality, are changing how we interact with technology.
